Come Home It’s Suppertime

Never before have I put so much emotion into a painting. This piece was filled with the grief of losing my Mom. The house represents our homestead where Mom & Dad raised nine of their children. I painted it red because that was Mom’s favourite colour. The forget-me-nots in the foreground, remind me that I will never forget them. The red roses emphasize the fact that Mom & Dad are now in a place where the roses will never fade. This piece of artwork is beautifully named, Come Home It’s Suppertime. This was the song I sang at her funeral and never was there a more fitting song. The piece measures 30”x30”x1.5” on professional stretched canvas. Maybe this painting can tell your story!
