Lovely Mummers

This 16”x 20”x1.5” acrylic on professional level 3 gallery wrapped canvas, is painted in my minimalistic and negative space style. It’s called, Lovely Mummers. A tradition practiced in various forms for over 300 years, mummering, or janneying in Newfoundland and Labrador describes the practice of visiting several homes throughout an evening, during the Christmas season, while dressed in a silly, funny disguise. “Lets see if we know who ya be.”
