The Anchor Holds

This painting has been in the making for a long time. One of my favourite songs, that sums up my life with mental illness is; ‘The Anchor Holds’. This ship has been battered, the sails are torn and I have faced many raging seas but the anchor holds; in spite of the storm! I have been months wondering, how can I make those words come alive, into a painting!? And this 24x30x1.5 acrylic on Professional level 3 stretched canvas, is what I came up with. I have spent many hours working on this piece, that I have called, ‘The Anchor Holds’. The original is selling for $500. P-22 #67
